TORONTO, May 29 (UPI) -- Toronto's Roy Halladay fired a two-hit shutout Sunday as the Blue Jays beat the Minnesota Twins, 4-0, to end a four-game losing streak.

The 28-year-old right-hander improved to 8-2 with his fourth straight win, eighth shutout of his career, and 19th complete game.

Vernon Wells went 3-for-4 with a home run for the Blue Jays, who finished a nine-game home-stand at 6-3.

Shannon Stewart and Nick Punto had the two hits for Minnesota, which lost for the first time in its last four games. Loser Joe Mays (3-2) He allowed two runs on 10 hits in seven innings with one walk and three strikeouts.
