MLB: Houston 2, Milwaukee 1

MILWAUKEE, May 29 (UPI) -- Andy Pettitte pitched six shutout innings Sunday when the Houston Astros posted a 2-1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Pettitte (3-5) scattered three hits and one walk while striking out eight in his first appearance since May 18. The lefthander missed his last start with tightness in his pitching forearm.

Eric Bruntlett hit an RBI triple for the Astros, who have won three of their last four games. Bruntlett and Lance Berkman each had two hits.

Houston reliever Brad Lidge gave up back-to-back singles to Junior Spivey and Geoff Jenkins in the ninth, but got Damian Miller on a double play to earn his 10th save.
