MLB: Detroit 8, Baltimore 6

BALTIMORE, May 29 (UPI) -- Dmitri Young had three hits, includinbg a homer, and three RBI Sunday as the Detroit Tigers had a six-run seventh in an 8-6 win over the Baltimore Orioles.

Young also scored three runs for the Tigers. Nook Logan added three hits and Craig Monroe a three-run homer in the win.

B.J. Surhoff drove in two runs for the Orioles, who have dropped six of their last 10 games.

Steve Reed (0-2) took the loss as he was charged with four runs in just one-third of an inning. Chris Spurling (1-0) picked up the win despite yielding two runs in two innings of relief.
