MLB: Texas 6, Chi. White Sox 2

ARLINGTON, Texas, May 27 (UPI) -- Alfonso Soriano hit two homers and Michael Young and Mark Teixeira had one each Friday night as Texas downed the Chicago White Sox, 6-2.

Texas won its seventh straight with Chris Young (5-2) allowing the White Sox one run on six hits in eight innings. Young won his third straight decision.

After Doug Brocail gave up a run in the ninth, Francisco Cordero came on to earn his 16th save. Chicago has dropped four of its last six.

Teixeira hit a solo homer in the first, Soriano made it 2-0 in the second and both Young and Soriano hit two-run shots in the fifth. Brandon McCarthy (0-1) gave up all four homers.
