MLB: New York Mets 12, Florida 4

MIAMI, May 26 (UPI) -- Three RBI each from Jose Reyes and Mike Cameron Thursday night highlighted a 14-hit attack as the New York Mets downed Florida, 12-4.

Reyes tripled twice and scored twice while Cameron had two doubles. The Mets had lost four in a row. The New York outburst came after they had been blanked twice in a row by Atlanta.

Kris Benson (3-1) benefited from the run support, picking up the win with a three-run, six-hit effort over six innings.

The loss went to Frank Castillo (0-1), starting in place of the injured A.J. Burnett. Castillo gave up five runs on four hits in 4 1/3.
