MLB: Tampa Bay 14, Oakland 6

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 25 (UPI) -- Carl Crawford had both a triple and a three-run homer as part of Tampa Bay's 10-run first inning Wednesday night as the Devil Rays smashed Oakland, 14-6.

Damon Hollins added a homer in the first and went three for four as part of a 15-hit outburst.

Scott Kazmir (2-4) coasted to the victory while allowing two runs on seven hits over six innings.

Joe Blanton gave up eight of the 10 runs in the first while seeing his record slump to 0-5. Oakland lost its fourth straight game.

Crawford opened the big inning with a triple and then drove in the seventh, eighth and ninth runs of the frame with a homer off Britt Reames.
