CINCINNATI, May 25 (UPI) -- Austin Kearns drove in three runs Wednesday as the Cincinnati Reds pasted Washington, 12-3, completing a three-game sweep for Cincinnati.
Ryan Freel added four hits for the Reds; Ken Griffey Jr. collected three hits, snapping a 0-for-16 slump; and Felipe Lopez belted a two-run homer to make a winner of Matt Belisle (2-4). He yielded two runs and five hits, with two walks and six strikeouts.

The Reds recorded 14 hits.
Losing pitcher Claudio Vargas fell to 0-3. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, yielding three runs, three hits, and three walks.
Jose Guillen hit two home runs for the Nationals, who have dropped five of six.
