HOOVER, Ala., May 22 (UPI) -- D.A. Weibring shot a 3-under 69 Sunday to post a 15-under 201 and win the sewniors Bruno's Memorial Classic by two strokes.
Weibring rolled his birdie putt within a few feet of the cup at the last holw. As he took his back swing to tap the ball in for par, the ball vibrated. After Weibring tapped in, he told playing partner Tom Kite and a rules official that the ball had moved in his back swing.
After watching replays of the putt, the official ruled Weibring never grounded his club so there was no penalty.
Quigley's run of 23 straight rounds at par or better ended Sunday when he shot 1-over 73.
