MLB: NY Yankees 5, NY Mets 2

NEW YORK, May 20 (UPI) -- Hideki Matsui drove in two runs Friday night in helping the New York Yankees win their 11th game in 12 tries, 5-2 over the New York Mets.

Tino Martinez, Robinson Cano and Ruben Sierra drove in a run each in support of Kevin Brown (3-4), who gave up a single run on three hits in five innings.

The Yankees' relief corps kept the Mets in check and Mariano Rivera picked up his eighth save by working the ninth.

The loss went to Victor Zambrano (2-4), who allowed three runs on four hits in 5 1/3.
