Felix Trinidad says he's done again

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, May 16 (UPI) -- Former junior middleweight champion Felix Trinidad is retiring from boxing following his Saturday night pounding by middleweight Winky Wright.

It was Trinidad's first fight in the middleweight division and he was clearly out-punched by Wright, who won all 12 rounds on one ringside scorecard, and 11 of the 12 on the other two.

Trinidad said Sunday his father told him he was retiring as his trainer because he felt he had not done a good job in his corner during the fight.

"I don't feel that I am giving my 100 percent in the corner, as I used to," Felix Trinidad Sr. told a news conference. "Because of this, I feel I don't want to carry on working in the ring."

Trinidad retired previously shortly after getting knocked out by Bernard Hopkins in September 2001.

In the scoring, Trinidad took 185 jabs to the face and landed only 58 punches to 262 for Wright.
