NEW YORK, May 11 (UPI) -- New York Yankees reliever Felix Rodriguez, who injured his left knee while getting out of a shower, was placed on the disabled list Wednesday.
Rodriguez tore cartilage in the knee and if surgery is needed he likely will be out of the lineup four to six weeks, General Manager Brian Cashman said.
Rodriguez suffered the injury while getting out of a shower either Monday or Tuesday, Cashman said, proving no other details.
The 32-year-old Rodriguez has appeared in 11 games this year. His record is 0-0 with an ERA of 5.40.
