MLB: Chicago Cubs 2, Philadelphia 1

CHICAGO, May 8 (UPI) -- Carlos Zambrano pitched a complete game and Neifi Perez and Aramis Ramirez each homered Sunday as the Chicago Cubs beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 2-1.

Zambrano (3-1) gave up just five hits while helping the Cubs end a seven-game losing streak.

Brett Myers (2-2) of Philadelphia had a stretch of eight consecutive outs with strikeouts. He struck out 10 and gave up five hits with just one walk.

Bobby Abreu homered in the sixth for the Phillies only run. Philadelphia has lost three of its last five games.
