MLB: St. Louis 6, Milwaukee 3

ST. LOUIS, April 27 (UPI) -- Mark Grudzielanek drove in two runs and scored two for St. Louis Wednesday in a 6-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

The win was the sixth straight for the Cardinals and their 11th in 12 games.

Grudzielanek hit for the cycle. He homered to lead off the first inning, singled in the second, doubled in the third and tripled in the sixth. Jim Edmonds drove two runs for the Cards.

Chris Carpenter (4-1) was the winning pitcher on his 30th birthday. Victor Santos (1-1) took the loss.
