MLB: Tampa Bay 6, Boston 5

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 23 (UPI) -- Alex Gonzalez hit a two-run homer and Travis Lee a two-run double Saturday as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays posted a 6-5 victory over the Boston Red Sox.

The Devil Rays battled back from an early 4-0 deficit to beat the Red Sox for the second straight time.

Four relievers combined for four scoreless innings to help the Devil Rays to their third consecutive win and fourth in five games. Former Red Sox pitcher Casey Fossum (1-1) had two shutout innings to earn the victory.

David Ortiz hit a pair of solo home runs for Boston, which has lost three of its last five games.

The Devil Rays scored all of their runs off Curt Schilling (1-2), who allowed nine hits in seven innings and saw his earned run average rise to 7.13.
