LAS VEGAS, April 15 (UPI) -- The National Basketball Association is considering an offer from Las Vegas to host the league's All-Star weekend in February 2007.
Although NBA Commissioner David Stern opposes legalized betting on the league's games, he reportedly warmed up to the idea after Las Vegas' mayor got assurances from city gambling interests that they would not accept wagers on the game, which would be played at the Thomas & Mack Center, the Las Vegas Review-Journal said Friday.

Stern said he expects to make a decision by June.
