COL BKB: Baylor 68, LSU 57

INDIANAPOLIS, April 3 (UPI) -- The Baylor Lady Bears advanced to the women's NCAA championship basketball game for the first time Sunday with a 68-57 win over the LSU Lady Tigers.

Sophia Young had 21 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lead Baylor (32-3), which will play the winner of the other semifinal, between Tennessee and Michigan State.

The game was tied at 51-51 with 5:51 left to play, but Baylor outscored the LSU 17-6 the rest of the way.

Baylor made just two of its first 15 shots and trailed LSU 24-9. But the Lady Bears then made nine of their next 13 shots and tied the game at halftime at 28-28.

Seimone Augustus scored 22 points for the Lady Tigers. LSU (33-3) was the nation's top ranked women's college team.
