COL BKB: Wisconsin 65, North Car. St. 56

SYRACUSE, N.Y., March 25 (UPI) -- Alando Tucker helped rally Wisconsin in the second half Friday night as the Badgers downed North Carolina State, 65-56, in the NCAA's regional semifinals.

A sloppy opening 20 minutes left Wisconsin trailing by nine at intermission, but a 13-0 run turned the game around in the second half.

Tucker scored eight of those 13 points and finished with 22.

Wisconsin became the third Big Ten team to reach the tournament's Elite Eight and will play on Sunday for a trip to the Final Four against North Carolina.

The Badgers (25-8), a sixth seed, turned up the defensive pressure and limited North Carolina State to 37 percent shooting from the field. The Wolfpack made just 19 field goals for the game.

North Carolina State (21-14) was led by Elgin Atsur with 16 points.
