SEATTLE, March 25 (UPI) -- Wide receiver Joe Jurevicius, released by Tampa Bay earlier this month, signed a one-year contract Friday with the Seattle Seahawks.
"He is a selfless player who understands what it takes to win in this league," Seahawks President Tim Ruskell said.
Jurevicius played for the Buccaneers three years, including 2002 when they won the Super Bowl. He previously played four years for the New York Giants, who drafted him in the second round in 1998.
Career totals for Jurevicius include 178 catches for 2,316 yards and 13 touchdowns. He caught 27 for 33 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games last season.
