EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 21 (UPI) -- Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom has been sidelined by a shoulder injury.
Odom's left shoulder was examined Monday and was diagnosed with a small labrum tear and a rotator cuff contusion. He is slated to be re-evaluated on Wednesday and his status is considered day-to-day.
Odom was injured during Friday's game against Indiana. He leads the Lakers in rebounds (10.2) and is averaging 15.2 points, 3.7 assists and 1.02 blocks in 64 games this season.
A 6'2-225 pounder, Odom was picked by the Clippers in the first round (fourth overall) of the 1999 NBA Draft out of Rhode Island.
Odom played four seasons with the Clippers before spending last year with Miami. He joined the Lakers as part of the deal that sent Shaquille O'Neal to the Heat in July.
