Steelers sign Jeff Reed for 5 more years

PITTSBURGH, March 10 (UPI) -- The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Thursday that placekicker Jeff Reed has signed for another five years with the team.

The 25-year-old Reed joined the Steelers as a rookie in 2002 and has been with them since.

Reed made 28 of 33 field goal attempts, including his last 17 in a row, and all 40 of his extra point kicks during the 2004 season.
