MEXICO CITY, March 6 (UPI) -- Annika Sorenstam shot a 4-under 68 Sunday to win the inaugural MasterCard Classic by three strokes in her 2005 debut.
Sorenstam wound up at 7-under 209 for her 57th career victory on the LPGA Tour.
Australian Karrie Webb was second at 4-under 212.
Cristie Kerr held a two-shot lead heading into the final round but struggled with a 75 to join first-round leader Hee-Won Han in a tie for third at 3-under 213.
Local Lorena Ochoa had a closing 68 and finished fifth at 2-under 214.
Sorenstam took the lead Sunday with five consecutive birdies starting at the par-3 second and reached 8-under after six holes.
Tour rookie Paula Creamer had a closing 68 to share sixth place with Michele Redman at 215. Kim Saiki and Helen Alfredsson followed at 216.
