IRVING, Texas, March 3 (UPI) -- The Dallas Cowboys continued to make major moves in free agency Thursday with the signing of defensive tackle Jason Ferguson.
Ferguson, previously with the New York Jets, signed a five-year contract worth $21.5 million with a $9 million signing bonus.
On the second day of the free-agent signing period, other key deals included:
-- Linebacker Chris Claiborne signing a three-year contract with the St. Louis Rams, who the day before inked outside linebacker Dexter Coakley.
-- Carolina coming to terms with offensive lineman Mike Wahle and cornerback Ken Lucas.
-- Linebacker Morlon Greenwood accepting a deal with the Houston Texans.
-- Safety Bhawoh Jue signing with San Diego for three years. He spent his first four seasons with Green Bay.
-- The New York Giants acquiring linebacker Antonio Pierce, who was previously with Washington.
-- Washington adding receiver David Patten, who played four years with New England.
