Auburn extends Tuberville's contract

AUBURN, Ala., Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Auburn Coach Tommy Tuberville signed a seven-year contract extension Thursday -- one that will pay him at least $2 million a season.

The Tigers went 13-0 during 2004, but was unable to gain a berth in the national championship game. Auburn downed Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl.
