COL BKB: Wake Forest 87, FlaState 48

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Sixth-ranked Wake Forest, running at the head of the pack in the Atlantic Coast Conference, coasted Saturday to an 87-48 victory over Florida State.

Justin Gray scored 20 points, Eric Williams 15, and Taron Downey 14 points as the Demon Deacons (21-3, 9-2 ACC), avenged an earlier overtime loss to the Seminoles while winning their fifth straight game.

Von Wafer and Jason Rich led Florida State scoring with 16 and 11 points. The Seminoles (11-13, 3-8)have lost four straight.

Wake Forest scored 12 of the first 16 points of the game and led 48-28 at halftime.
