Perrilloux commits to LSU

RESERVE, La., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Highly-sought high school quarterback Ryan Perrilloux announced Wednesday he has signed with LSU.

The 6-2, 207-pound native of Reserve, La., has been called the top quarterback prospect this year.

He said he originally committed orally to Texas before signing a letter of intent with LSU Wednesday, the official signing day. He said he also strongly considered Mississippi State.

Perrilloux has a strong throwing arm, runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and last season set a Louisiana scholastic record with 5,006 yards total offense.

In four years at Reserve's East John High School he accounted for 155 total touchdowns (84 passing, 71 rushing) and also played on defense, compiling 21 tackles and two interceptions.
