CHESTNUT HILL, Mass., Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Craig Smith scored 20 points Saturday night to lead the eighth-ranked Boston College Eagles to a 64-49 victory over the Georgetown Hoyas.

Boston College (18-0) remains one of two unbeaten Division I teams in the nation thanks to its stingy defense. Top-ranked Illinois stayed undefeated by beating Minnesota Saturday, 89-66.

Georgetown (13-6, 5-3) was led by Brandon Bowman with 16 points.
