IOWA CITY, Iowa, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Pierre Pierce scored 25 points Saturday hile leading the 24th-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes to a 72-57 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers.
Jeff Horner tallied 13 of his 16 points in the second half and hit on four o six three-pointers for Iowa (15-5, 3-4 Big Ten)
D.J. White had 23 points and seven rebounds to lead Indiana (9-9, 4-3), which lost for only the second time in its last six games.
Ahead 13-12, the Hawkeyes went on an 11-2 drive to widen their lead to 10 points midway thropughspurt to pull ahead by 10 midway through the first half.
Iowa held an 11-point edge for much of the second half. Indiana closed to 51-44 with under eight minutes to go, but Iowa then pulled away again.
