Utah deals Arroyo to Detroit

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Guard Carlos Arroyo was sent from Utah to Detroit Friday for center Elden Campbell and a first-round draft pick.

Arroyo enjoyed his best season in 2003-04 and signed a contract extension. But he has had disagreements with Coach Jerry Sloan and his playing time has been reduced.

Campbell has played in just 21 games for the Pistons this year. He also has played with the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Hornets and Seattle SuperSonics.
