Titch Moore holds Durban golf lead

DURBAN, South Africa, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Titch Moore shot a 2-under-par 70 Friday to lead the South African Airways Open by two shots at the halfway mark.

The 28-year-old South African, who has not won on the European Tour, birdied two of the last three holes for a 36-hole score of 9-under-par 135.

Moore's best showing on the tour was a ninth-place finish in the same event last year.

American Bruce Vaughan, who shared the opening-round lead with Moore, was tied at 138 with Gregory Havret of France and South Africans Andrew McLardy and Louis Oosthuizen.
