Jets have injury concerns in playoffs

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- The New York Jets will have two key players at less than 100 percent when they meet San Diego in the opening round of the playoffs Saturday.

The team's final injury report Friday downgraded wide receiver Wayne Chrebet and defensive end John Abraham from probable to questionable for the AFC wild card contest.

Chrebet suffered a concussion last Sunday against St. Louis. Because he suffered the same injury numerous times in his 10-year career, he reportedly has been advised not to play.

Abraham, who was in the midst of the best season of his four-year career, missed the last four regular-season contests with a sprained right knee.

"He's about three-fourths, probably," Coach Herman Edwards told Newsday about Abraham's condition. "He practiced (Friday) a little bit better than he did yesterday (Thursday), but we'll make a decision on Saturday."
