NFL: NY Jets 37, Seattle 14

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Chad Pennington passed for three touchdown and Curtis Martin rushed for two more Sunday as the New York Jets posted a 37-14 win over the Seattle Seahawks.

Santana Moss caught two of the touchdown passes. Martin rushed for 134 yards on 24 carries for the Jets (10-4), who solidified their lead for the first AFC wild card spot with two games remaining.

The Jets bounced back from a subpar performance last week against Pittsburgh to total 482 yards in offense.

Matt Hasselbeck completed 22-of-30 passes for 201 yards and two scores for the Seahawks (7-7). Shaun Alexander was held to 77 yards rushing on 19 attempts, one of which ended with a fumble at the goal line late in the third quarter.
