KANSAS CITY, Mo., Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Larry Johnson rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns Sunday to pace the Kansas City Chiefs to a 45-17 victory over the Denver Broncos.
Trent Green passed for 224 yards and three touchdowns while completing 16 of 19 passing for the Chiefs (6-8), who got their third straight victory. Eddie Kennison caught seven passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns and Dante Hall returned the opening kickoff for a score.
Jake Plummer, who was intercepted twice, hit on 23 of 41 passes for 292 yards and a touchdown for the Broncos (8-6), whose third straight loss allowed San Diego to clinch the AFC West title.
Dexter McCleon made both interceptions for Kansas City.
