Cavaliers suspend Snow for one game

CLEVELAND, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Eric Snow has been suspended for one game without pay for a verbal duel with Coach Paul Silas Thursday night in Detroit.

Snow was removed from the game in the second quarter after being cited for an eight-second violation. While leaving the game Snow cursed Silas, who sent the player to the locker room for the remainder of the half.

Silas permitted Snow to rejoin the team in the third quarter, but did not play him again.

Snow, in his first season with Cleveland after an off-season trade from Philadelphia, will sit out Saturday's game against Boston and lose $54,000 in pay.
