COL BKB: Mississippi St 80, Xavier 74

CINCINNATI, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Winsome Frazier and Lawrence Roberts each scored 20 points Saturday as 24th-ranked Mississippi State posted an 80-74 victory over Xavier.

The Bulldogs (9-2), who have won three straight, connected on eight of 12 3-pointers. Frazier made 4-of-4 from 3-point range.

Josh Duncan led Xavier with 13 points. Justin Cage and Stanley Burrell each had 10 points for the Musketeers (3-3). who have lost three in a row.

The Bulldogs led 40-32 at halftime.
