HOUSTON, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- The Lombardi Award, which goes each year to the nation's top college lineman, was won Wednesday night by Georgia defensive end David Pollack.
Pollack finished second in balloting for last year's Lombardi Award. This time he finished in front of USC's Shaun Cody, Wisconsin's Erasums James and Texas' Derrick Johnson.
Pollack had 48 tackles and 9.5 sacks this season. Georgia will play Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl on Jan 1.
