NFL: Washington 31, NY Giants 7

LANDOVER, Md., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Clinton Portis rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns and Patrick Ramsey threw for three TDs Sunday as Washington beat the New York Giants, 31-7.

Ramsey hit 19-of-22 passes for 174 yards and Portis had both a rushing and receiving score for Washington (4-8).

This was the first time this season Washington scored more than 18 points in a game.

The Redskins held Eli Manning and the Giant offense to 145 total yards and seven first downs. New York's only score came on a 92-yard kick return by Derrick Ward in the third quarter.

Manning was 12-of-25 for 113 yards in his second career start. Tiki Barber was held to 38 rushing yards on 15 carries for New York (5-7), which has dropped five straight after a 5-2 beginning.
