MAUI, Hawaii, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Rashad McCants scored 22 points Wednesday night as North Carolina finished off a big week with a 106-92 victory over Iowa.
The 12th-ranked Tar Heels won the Maui Invitational championship. The three wins on the island of Maui came after North Carolina was stunned in its season opener by Santa Clara.

Jawad Williams had 18 points and Sean May 16 for the Tar Heels while Richard Felton added 15 and was named the tournament's MVP.
Iowa (3-1) was led by Adam Haluska with 19. During its run to the final, Iowa defeated nationally ranked Louisville and Texas.
