NEW YORK, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Lawrence Roberts led No. 14 Mississippi State with 20 points Friday night as the Bulldogs downed St. Mary's, 67-54.
Mississippi State claimed the consolation title in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.

Roberts, playing with a mask protecting his broken nose, added seven rebounds. Winsome Frazier chipped in 12 points for Mississippi State (3-1).
St. Mary's surprised California to get to the tournament semifinals, but once reaching Madison Square Garden lost to Memphis and the Bulldogs.
E.J. Rowland led the Gaels (2-2) with 19 points.
The Bulldogs closed the first half with a 23-11 run to take a 34-23 lead.
