Ohio University fires coach

ATHENS, Ohio, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Ohio University Athletic Director Thomas Boeh announced Thursday that Coach Brian Knorr had been fired.

Knorr coached Ohio University for four years, compiling an 11-35 record. Ohio was 4-7 this season.

"This was a very difficult decision," said Boeh. "At Ohio, we expect our coaches and staff to lead by example, consider the needs of student-athletes first and continually promote the values of integrity, academic success and good citizenship.

"On that count, Coach Knorr has served most honorably and his work has truly been appreciated."
