Truex Jr., 24, won the championship in his first full year in the series.

Truex Jr. started on the pole and stayed near the top of the charts all day. He needed to beat rival Kyle Busch by more than 30 points to take the title.

Busch was the leader on lap 51, but 20 laps later was in 24th place and on lap 88 he trailed the leaders by a lap.

McMurray took the lead on lap 102 and despite a steering vibration, held off a challenge by Ashton Lewis Jr. for the win.

Mike Bliss, Truex Jr. and Matt Kenseth completed the top-five.
