COL FB: Iowa 29, Minnesota 27

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Drew Tate passed for 328 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lead No. 19 Iowa to a 29-27 victory over Minnesota.

for the Hawkeyes (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten), who have won six straight games.

Clinton Solomon caught nine passes for 155 yards and a TD for Iowa.

Laurence Maroney rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns for Minnesota (6-5, 3-5), which has lost five of its last six games. Marion Barber also was a big gun in Minnesota's running attack as he rushed for 166 yards.

Minnesita trailed by nine in the fourth quarter. But the Golden Gophers went 73 yards in 11 plays climb within two on Maroney's five-yard touchdown with 4:48 left.

Minnesota's Rhys Lloyd's 51-yard field goal try was wide left with 22 seconds remaining.
