NEW YORK, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Kansas City Chiefs running back Priest Holmes, who had three 100-yard games, is among the NFL Players of the Month for October.
The league named the honorees Thursday.
Holmes, who leads league with 833 yards in eight games, was named for the AFC for offense, an honor he also earned in September. He and was joined in the AFC by New York Jets end John Abraham and kick returner B.J. Sams of Baltimore for defense and special teams, respectively.
Culpepper completed 69.6 percent of his pass attempts (110 of 158) for 1,235 yards and 12 touchdowns, with four interceptions. He has thrown for five touchdowns three times this season, the only quarterback in league history to accomplish that feat in the same campaign.
