COL FB: Northwestern 13, Purdue 10

EVANSTON, Ill., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Noah Herron ran for a 3-yard touchdown with 38 seconds left Saturday as Northwestern upset 19th-ranked Purdue 13-10.

Brett Basanez was 11-of-30 for 148 yards passing for the Wildcats. Herron had 82 yards rushing on 19 carries.

Purdue quarterback Kyle Orton threw for 143 yards and one touchdown before leaving the game with an injury. He was intercepted once.

The Boilermakers (5-3, 2-3 Big Ten) have dropped three in a row. Northwestern is 4-4, 3-2 Big Ten after its fourth straight win at home.
