COL FB: Texas 51, Texas Tech 21

LUBBOCK, Texas, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Vince Young rushed for 158 yards and four touchdowns and passed for 142 yards and a fifth TD to lead No. 9 Texas to a 51-21 win over No. 24 Texas Tech.

Young was 10-of-15 passing and rushed 25 times for the Longhorns (6-1, 3-1 Big 12), who have won two straight since their 12-0 loss to Oklahoma two weeks ago. Cedric Benson rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown.

Texas Tech quarterback Sonny Cumbie completed 34 of 51 passes for 403 yards. Cumbie and Taurean Henderson scored rushing touchdowns, but the Red Raiders (4-3, 2-2) finished with negative-17 yards on the ground.
