COL FB: Louisville 41, South Florida 9

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Stefan LeFors threw for 242 yards and a touchdown Friday night in carrying No. 18 Louisville to a 41-9 blasting of South Florida.

LeFors also rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown while Michael Bush scored twice on the ground.

Louisville bounced back from its near-miss loss to Miami, improving to 5-1 on the season and to 3-0 in Conference USA.

The Cardinals piled up 517 total yards and had 30 first downs. J.R. Russell caught 111 yards worth of passes.

Louisville limited South Florida quarterback Pat Julmiste to three completions in 20 attempts. The Bulls slipped to 2-4 on the year and to 1-3 in conference.

Despite fumbling the ball away on its first possession, the Cardinals took a 14-0 lead after one quarter.
