DALLAS, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- San Jose qualified for the Major League Soccer Cup Playoffs with a 2-2 tie against Dallas Saturday.

The Earthquakes, defending MLS champions, needed at least a tie to make the playoffs.

Brian Ching and Ramiro Corrales scored for San Jose. Eddie Johnson and Oscar Pareja got the Dallas goals.
