MLB: Tampa Bay 6, Detroit 4 (2nd Game)

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Toby Hall put Tampa Bay in front with a two-run double in the eighth Thursday, giving the Devil Rays a 6-4 win over Detroit and a split of a doubleheader.

Jorge Cantu went four for four and drove in three runs while Jose Cruz contributed three hits and scored three times.

Travis Harper (6-2) gave up two runs in his only inning, but still got the victory. Danys Baez picked up his 30th save.

Detroit won the opener, 8-0, with Jeremy Bonderman throwing a four-hit shutout.

The games were makeup contests from those postponed earlier this month because of Hurricane Frances.
