BALTIMORE, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Baltimore's Miguel Tejada and B.J. Surhoff hit home runs to back the shutout pitching of Rodrigo Lopez in a 5-0 win over Detroit Sunday.

Tejeda hit a two-run homer in the first inning and Surhoff led off the second with a solo shot.

Lopez (14-8) gave up three hits and struck out seven. He has won eight straight.

Tigers' starter Mike Maroth (11-12) gave up all the Baltimore runs and nine hits in 7 2/3 innings.
