Barrichello on F1 pole in Shanghai

SHANGHAI, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Rubens Barrichello won the pole Saturday for Sunday's Grand Prix of China Formula One race.

The Ferrari driver circled the 3.387-mile, 14-turn Shanghai International Circuit in one minute, 34.012 seconds.

The pole victory was Barrichello's second of the season and third of his F1 career.

Starting on the front row with Barrichello will be Kimi Raikkonen, who posted a time of 1:34.178.

Row two will consist of Jenson Button and Felipe Massa.

Ferrari's Michael Schumacher, who has already won his seventh F1 championship, spun out and finished last in qualifications.
