MLB: Chicago White Sox 8, Minnesota 6

CHICAGO, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Juan Uribe hit a pinch-hit grand slam in the seventh Tuesday to lead the Chicago White Sox to an 8-6 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

Paul Konerko added his 40th homer of the season for the White Sox, who snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Twins. Minnesota clinched the AL Central with a win over Chicago on Monday night.

Neal Cotts (3-3) picked up the win with a scoreless seventh inning and Shingo Takatsu worked around a single in the ninth for his 18th save.

Jason Kubel and Michael Restovich had two-run homers for the Twins, who have won three straight division titles.

Uribe's first career grand slam came with two outs off Jesse Crain, but three runs were charged to J.C. Romero (7-2), who had walked the two previous batters before being relieved.
